Christmas Lunch Menu 2015 

(Available Sunday to Friday throughout December)

  • 2 Courses - £14.95 per head
  • 3 Courses - £16.95 per head

 

Starters

  • Chef's homemade roasted spiced butternut squash & carrot soup with creme fraiche and root vegetable crisps
  • Chef's homemade chicken liver & smoke bacon pate with apple cider chutney, glazed leaves on hot ciabatta toast
  • Smoked salmon & prawn parcel served with honey dill dressing & mixed leaves
  • Crispy brie wedge served with mixed leaves & a cranberry, port & orange dressing 

 

Main Course

  • Roasted Pembrokeshire turkey with homemade apple Cumberland sage stuffing, pigs in blanket with pot roasted gravy
  • Roasted Welsh topside of beef with Yorkshire pudding & a red wine gravy
  • Cheddar herb crusted salmon fillet with white wine & prawn sauce
  • Stuffed duck leg with orange & apricot served with chive mash & a port & cranberry jus
  • (v) Roasted vegetable, spinach & brie pithivier served with a tomato & basil coulis

All served with chef's selection of vegetables & potatoes

 

Desserts

  • Traditional Christmas pudding with a roasted plum and brandy sauce
  • Berry Charlotte sponge base topped with vanilla mousse topped with mixed berries & served with cream
  • Chocolate truffle bar with Chantilly cream & chocolate drizzle
  • Homemade brioche Baileys bread & butter pudding with a butterscotch sauce

 


Christmas Party Dinner Menu 2015 

(Available Monday - Thursday throughout December)

£23.95 per head

Starters

  • Chef's homemade roasted spiced butternut squash & carrot soup with creme fraiche and root vegetable crisps
  • Homemade pressed ham and smoked chicken terrine with apple cider chutney and mixed leaves salad and bread shards
  • Smoked salmon & prawn roulade with honey dill dressing, watercress and rocket salad
  • Wild mushrooms on toast - fricassee of mushrooms in brandy and cream sauce served on a toasted brioche finished with chives

 

Main Course

  • Roasted Pembrokeshire turkey with homemade apple Cumberland sage stuffing, pigs in blankets with pot roasted gravy
  • Grilled seabass fillet on buttered cabbage, samphire, bacon, finished with a white wine mussel sauce 
  • 10-hour slow cooked brisket beef served with dauphinoise potatoes and red wine mushroom sauce
  • Roasted vegetable, spinach & brie pithivier served with a tomato & basil coulis
  • Pan fried duck breast served pink with cranberry, port & rosemary sauce

All served with Chef's selection of vegetables & potatoes

  • Duo chocolate torte with mixed berries compote and blackcurrant sorbet

2 Courses - £12.95

  • Homemade Pies - Choose from Steak & Ale or Turkey, Ham & Leek served with chive mash, sauteed cabbage & peas
  • Homemade smoked haddock & salmon fish cakes with pickle, vegetable salad, roasted new potatoes, garden peas & homemade Tartar sauce
  • Grilled 6oz gammon with pineapple, cheddar crust chips, grilled tomato & garden peas
  • Homemade three cheese & leek croquette with tomato & red pepper ragout served with fine beans
  • Butterfly chicken breast with mushroom & peppercorn sauce, roasted new potatoes & fine beans
  • Grilled pork Cumberland sausages on chive mash with red wine gravy, onion rings & peas

  • Homemade liver pate with onion chutney, mixed leaves, toasted focaccia bread
  • Smoked salmon & prawn cocktail with brown bread & butter
  • Sliced mushrooms with brandy & cream on toasted brioche

  • Roasted sirloin beed with Yorkshire pudding and a natural pan gravy
  • Roasted loin of pork with sage sausage meat stuffing and cider gravy
  • Grilled salmon fillet on spinach, pinenuts, served with warm tomato & basil vinaigrette
  • (V) Homemade roasted vegetable & brie tart with tomato coulis
  • Slow roasted leg of welsh lamb with mint & natural pan gravy

All served with braised red cabbage, baby carrots, broccoli, creamed leaks, roasted potatoes, new potatoes

New Year's Day Lunch (Friday 1st January 2016)

  • 3 courses - £17.75

  • Homemade French onion soup with cheese croutons
  • Crispy goats cheese with red onion & cranberry dip served with mixed leaves
  • Smoked mackerel fillet on new potato spring onion salad served with lemon oil and mixed leaves
  • Pan fried mushrooms in a creamy three cheese sauce served with toasted brioche topped with crispy bacon lardons
