We are delighted to be open and warmly welcome all of our customers back to The Giltar Hotel, Tenby.

Our Commitment to you:

  • Our team are fully trained and Covid aware
  • We have introduced staggered check in times to minimise queuing
  • We have implemented enhanced sanitising and cleaning regimes
  • Provided hand sanitising points in all public areas
  • Provided social distancing screens, floor markings and reminders
  • Reduced Hotel capacity in line with Welsh Government guidelines and put all Covid Risk Assessments in place. Copies of such assessments are available for inspection should you so desire.

What we are asking of you:

  • A copy of our Welcome Letter will be sent to all guests at the point of booking and receive a copy on arrival, detailing all safety measures that have been put in place.  Download a copy here
  • On arrival you will be asked to confirm your contact details of all guests (including a valid telephone number) and to declare that all guests are not showing any COVID-19 symptoms as part of the Welsh Government Test, Track and Trace system.
  • Similarly at check out we will ask you to confirm that you have not experienced COVID-19 symptoms during your stay. For wider reading please refer to https://gov.wales/coronavirus
  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided on entering and leaving the building
  • Abide by the Hotel’s one-way system when entering and departing the Hotel
  • Public toilet facilities within the Hotel are not in use at the present time due to Government legislation
  • Lift use will be limited, please use stairs where applicable
  • All room keys should be kept with the guest at all times and only returned to reception upon departure – Please note that a lost key will be charged @ £50.00.
  • If you feel unwell please follow NHS 111 Covid advice and inform our Reception
  • You will need to return home immediately if you feel unwell and notify us when you arrive home
  • Always observe social distancing protocols in all areas of the Hotel, especially in narrow corridors
  • No Ironing Facilities will be available at the Hotel, due to this being a shared facility. Please don’t bring your own electrical equipment as the product may not have the relevant ‘Pat Testing’ therefore would not be regulated or meet the Hotel’s insurance regime.
  • Make all requests by ringing our Reception (0), so to avoid cross contact with other guests at reception and to allow social distancing. We would be delighted to assit at any time with your requests.
  • Upon departure your room key is to be deposited into a box at Reception & payment for any outstanding Bill should be settled the evening before departure by card only
  •  During your stay, Housekeeping will have limited access to your room, so we ask that if you require fresh towels or refreshments that you contact Reception ‘0’ & they will provide these for you at a convenient time when you have vacated your room, this will also apply to any Maintenance works that may need to be carried out. There will also be no rooms serviced during your stay, if it is shorter than 5 days
  • Please note that Government Legislation is changing on a regular basis and your booking requirements, may have to be amended in line with such directives, however, a member of the reception team will contact you before your arrival date if this is the case.
  • We want you to enjoy the wonderful Giltar experience which we know you love. As such rooms are offered on a self catering basis, with full room service for breakfast and evening meals. Our team will advise you on arrival of protocols for receiving room service.
  • We realise you love Tenby & all it has to offer, but there are wider places to explore & enjoy in the Pembrokeshire area, which you can find by visiting our website www.giltar-hotel.co.uk, to give you an even more enjoyable stay.

New Welsh Government guidelines for Restaurants from Monday 9th November:

  • All tables must be pre-booked by calling 01834842507
  • Contact names and telephone numbers will be required for each guest attending.
  • Maximum of 4 guests per table allowed from different households (children under the age of 11 are not included in the maximum numbers)
  • Tables of more than 4 are only permitted for those who live in the same single household.  When booking, guests will be asked to confirm their address and will be required to provide verified ID on arrival. 
  • Maximum time allowed per restaurant visit is 2 hours. 
  • No alcohol will be served after 10pm and all guests will be required to leave the restaurant before 10.20pm.
  • Children: Under 2 years £7.50; 2-8Yrs £20; 8-14yrs £25 When sharing with an adult
  • Please note reservation constitutes a contract between the hotel and guest is liable for 100% of the total value of reservation should a cancellation 24hrs prior to arrival date or early departure
  • If you should cancel your reservation 24 hours prior to your arrival date then a one day charge will apply
  • All prices are inclusive of VAT at current rate
  • All major credit / debit cards accepted
  • Smoking within Giltar Hotel is illegal and a cleaning charge of £250 will be made to any person found to be smoking in their bedroom
  • Dogs are not permitted in the hotel
  • From Nov 2020, no deposits are taken at the time of booking, however full payment is taken 3 days prior to arrival.  Please note, payments for packages are taken in full at the time of booking.    
  • We strongly recommend Holiday Insurance
  • All terms apply as quoted in writing at the time of booking
  • We would respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract
  • Prices are subject to change at any time

Please note that our car park can only accommodate 12 cars and is on a first come, first serve basis.  

There are a number of parking bays around the hotel, however please be aware that some of these have a time limit.

You will find a number of car parks within walking distance of the hotel.  Our reception team can advise on the most suitable option for your stay.

  • Bedrooms are available for arrivals from 3.30pm
  • Guests are advised to contact reception on arrival in Tenby to arrange a check-in time as we are organising staggered check-ins to avoid over crowding in our reception area
  • Bedrooms are to be vacated by 10.30am on the day of departure
