Our Cawdor room was one of the first rooms to undertake a makeover and is a particularly special transformation. During the refurbishment ceilings were removed to reveal the original plaster moulded ceiling and coving which led to the praise from the Prince of Wales. On hearing of the discovery from members of a heritage society (of which he is a patron) our designer, Linda Hunt (of Meigan Design) received a request from Clarence House to send before and after photos of the work. Both Linda and ourselves at the hotel we’re thrilled to receive a response stating that the restoration and design work was ‘really very lovely’. It was such an honour to be recognised for the work by a member of the Royal Family.
