Evening Wedding Parties

After a busy wedding reception, a little bit of time to relax and kick off those wedding shoes, it’s time to refresh and get ready for your dancing feet, welcoming new guests who are looking forward to celebrating with you, and having some great Giltar buffet treats.

We have two buffet menus to choose from, so there’ll be lots of choice for your guests, and of course we can arrange dishes/items to suit dietary requirements.

As always at the Giltar we’re here to talk and ensure that your evening is as amazing, fun and memorable as every bit of your wedding day.  Whether you go for live music, a big band sound or disco, our function room is a superb venue, with lots of room for other additions like photobooths and casino tables.

Baby Showers

Baby Showers offer the ideal opportunity to get together with friends and family to celebrate the upcoming birth, and treat the mum-to-be.   Whether you're planning a small gathering, or have a large group of friends and family we are able to accommodate your needs.  Afternoon Tea is a popular choice at Baby Showers, alternatively we have a range of buffets to choose from.

Funerals/ Wakes

Choosing a venue following a funeral can sometimes be a difficult choice.  Here at the Giltar Hotel we can cater for small and large gatherings in a relaxed and peaceful setting, making it an ideal venue for wakes.  Whether you wish to have a formal sit down meal, afternoon tea or buffet, we have something to suit.    With our choice of 2 dining rooms and downstairs bar area we have adequate space for friends and family to gather and remember your loved one.  

We understand this can be a difficult time, however our empathetic and caring team can discuss your requirements and ensure the day runs smoothly, allowing you time to focus on spending time with friends and family.
